Welcome to the first edition of the Luxapel Journal. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or have only recently discovered our products, thank you for your interest and support. Luxapel was built by inventors, engineers, artists, and friends who believe that better lighting begins with curiosity, careful craftsmanship, and a willingness to challenge old assumptions.

Before we begin, we’d like to recognize the people who helped turn an idea into a company. Our sincere thanks go to our founders and early team members, Oke Tammik, Roger Hicks, Tom Roth, and Alan Zimmerman, whose dedication helped Luxapel get off the ground. We also owe special thanks to Jon Farley, whose technical expertise was instrumental in developing our core technology. To the many other friends, advisors, customers, and supporters who have encouraged us along the way, you know who you are, and you have our heartfelt gratitude.

We’d also like to recognize the many local suppliers, fabricators, and contractors who have contributed their skills and craftsmanship over the years. Building lighting products in America requires more than good ideas. It takes talented partners who share our commitment to quality, innovation, and reliability.

Like many companies, Luxapel faced significant challenges during the COVID years. Supply chain disruptions, rising component costs, and market changes forced us to set aside some promising
products, including our Ziba family of battery-powered lighting. Those years tested us, but they also strengthened our resolve to keep innovating. We will be bringing out many new products this year as we expand our product lineup. Let us know what you’d like to see!

Today, Luxapel is moving forward with renewed energy and exciting new products. Through this journal, we’ll share product introductions, technical insights, engineering challenges, and occasional stories from behind the scenes. We hope you’ll enjoy following our progress and seeing where the next generation of Luxapel technology takes us.

The world of lighting never stands still, and neither do we. We look forward to making a lasting contribution to the spaces where people live, work, create, and worship.

Thank you again for your confidence and support.

Sincere best wishes,

Arlie Conner
Founder & Chairman Emeritus
